Welcome Aguilar Families! I am so excited to be back for another great year as the music teacher and choir director! I look forward to continuing to build relationships with all student through fun, engaging, and standards-based lessons. The arts are such an important part of an education for the whole child, and I love sharing my passion for music at the elementary level. Here is just a little background information about myself so you can get to know me as well!
I grew up in Mentor, Ohio, a suburb east of Cleveland, where I was always involved in music. Here, I had the opportunity to be in choir and orchestra, take piano lessons, and teach piano lessons as well. At the end of May 2015, I graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. My primary instrument in college was piano, and I also took voice lessons. Feel free to check out my online portfolio attached at the bottom to learn a little more about my experience at Miami University!
I know this is going to be a great year, and I am excited to work with all Aguilar students and their families! If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me by phone or email. Go wildcats!
“Music is about communication, creativity, and cooperation, and by studying music in schools, students have the opportunity to build on these skills, enrich their lives, and experience the world from a new perspective.”
